How is LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose made?

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are made from pulp derived from the renewable raw material wood. FSC® and PEFC™ certifications confirm that the wood comes from sustainable sources.

What makes LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose sustainable?

Resource-efficient production

Styles made from LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers cause up to 50 percent less emissions and require less water than conventional viscose.

Sustainable wood sourcing

The wood for LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose comes from responsible sourcing from certified forests (mainly Europe and South Africa). About one third more forest grows back than is harvested for sustainable use. Therefore, no monocultures are cultivated. Also, forest areas do not compete with agricultural land for food production, and no artificial irrigation is needed.

Transparency in the supply chain

Through a special production system, all raw materials in the supply chain of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ products can be identified.

Certified environmentally conscious

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are awarded the EU Ecolabel. This environmental label is only granted to products and services that throughout their entire life cycle have a significantly lower environmental impact than other comparable products — from raw material extraction through production to distribution and disposal.
