Our materials and products
Materials
When selecting our fabrics, we rely on so-called low-impact fibers – raw materials and yarns that have less environmental impact compared to conventional materials.
Bamboo & Viscose from Bamboo
Since 2019, bamboo has been the foundation of our range.
- Fast-growing raw material with low water consumption
- Soft, skin-friendly, and silky to the touch – comparable to silk or cashmere
- Feels pleasantly cooling in summer
- High absorbency & moisture regulation – ideal for everyday wear and sports
We also use bamboo in our activewear (leggings, bras, shorts).
To ensure stretch and durability, we supplement it with small amounts of polyamide & elastane when needed – as little as possible.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose
- Sustainable alternative to conventional viscose
- Controlled and resource-efficient production
Lyocell & Linen
Lyocell:
- Derived from wood
- Smooth, soft, skin-friendly
- Breathable & moisture-regulating
- Light sheen, elegant look
Linen:
- Natural fiber from flax
- Requires little water to grow, very robust & durable
- Breathable, airy, with a typical natural look
- Cooling – perfect for summer clothing
- Since 2025, we have also been developing blends of lyocell & linen that combine the lightness of lyocell with the naturalness of linen.
Cotton
When cotton is used, we use – whenever possible – OCS (Organic Content Standard) certified organic cotton. This certification provides transparency about the proportion of organically grown materials and their traceability throughout the entire supply chain.
Our clothing is made with great attention to detail and under fair conditions. We focus not only on the highest quality but also on sustainability at every step.
Here’s how the production process works:
Material selection – we choose sustainable fabrics like bamboo viscose or organic cotton.
Small batch production – we deliberately produce only as much as we actually sell to avoid overproduction.
Craftsmanship & care – each piece is made with great attention and undergoes quality control.
Transparency – we make sure to communicate our processes openly so you know exactly where your garment comes from.
Good to know: Many of our pieces are made in small workshops – this not only ensures fair working conditions but also the special quality you feel as soon as you wear your item.
Our standards:
All production sites are amfori BSCI audited – meaning social standards like fair wages and safe working conditions are upheld.
All our products are free from harmful substances – certified by the OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
We care that not only your clothing but also our packaging is responsible. That’s why we have deliberately made our shipping packaging more sustainable.
Our packaging in detail:
Polybag made from cornstarch – it is biodegradable under industrial composting conditions and meets the EN 13432 standard.
Water-based inks – our shipping bags are printed with these and are 100% recyclable.
Less is more – we have made our packaging smaller and more resource-efficient without compromising protection for your favorite items.
Good to know: You can easily dispose of our packaging in the paper or recycling cycle.
Production and Transport
Our production takes place at selected partner manufacturers in Asia. It is important to us that our collaboration is characterized by responsibility – we see ourselves as a Responsible Brand and want to contribute step by step to making fashion more conscious and durable.
Our production locations
China - Currently, more than 90% of our products are made here. The proximity to bamboo cultivation areas allows for short delivery routes.
Vietnam - Since 2025, we have been working with a specialist in underwear who produces our bamboo viscose lingerie line.
Sri Lanka - Our sock supplier is based here.
Bangladesh - On a smaller scale, we work with a long-standing partner who is considered a pioneer in sustainability. 👉 More about this in the blog.
What matters to us
Working conditions - All our partners are audited at least according to the BSCI standard (Business Social Compliance Initiative). We see this as a foundation, not an endpoint, and want to continuously improve together with our partners.
Environmental and social standards - We ensure compliance with relevant requirements and seek partners who share our values.
Expertise & craftsmanship - Our producers are specialists in processing materials like bamboo viscose.
Good to know: We deliberately produce in smaller quantities to avoid surplus and to ensure each piece is made with special care.
We also pay attention to sustainability and efficiency when transporting our clothing.
Here’s how the transport process works:
Optimized delivery routes - we consolidate shipments to avoid unnecessary transports.
Resource-saving - our clothing is packed compactly to reduce the volume that needs to be transported.
Reliable partners - we work with transport providers who also focus on sustainable solutions.
Good to know: Through careful planning, we keep transport routes as short as possible – this saves CO₂ and ensures your order arrives safely and quickly.
Our values and philosophy
Responsible Fashion means for us: creating fashion that not only looks beautiful but is also consciously and responsibly made.
Specifically, this means:
Sustainable materials - we rely on bamboo viscose, organic cotton, and recycled fabrics.
Small quantities - we only produce as much as is truly needed to avoid overproduction.
Fairness & transparency - we work with partners who pay fair wages and provide safe workplaces.
Durability instead of fast fashion - our pieces are timeless, versatile, and accompany you for many years.
Good to know: Responsible Fashion is not a trend for us, but a promise – to you and to our environment.
We believe: Less is more – for you, for us, and for the environment. That’s why we consciously produce our collections in small quantities.
Why we do this:
No overproduction – we want to avoid clothes being left unworn or having to be discarded.
Exclusivity – small runs make our pieces something special.
Highest quality – each item is made with more attention and care.
Sustainability – less inventory means less resource consumption and fewer emissions.
Good to know: It can happen that an item sells out quickly – but that exactly shows that we consciously control our production and don’t waste resources.
Les Lunes is more than fashion - we create a lifestyle brand that stands for sustainability, comfort, and timelessness.
What makes us unique:
Responsible Fashion - sustainable materials, fair production, small quantities.
For real women - our pieces adapt to your life: comfortable, versatile, feminine, and suitable for everyday wear.
Quality & Timelessness - we focus on durable designs instead of fast-moving trends.
Community & Closeness - we speak honestly, warmly, and inclusively – you are part of our Les Lunes world.
Our promise: Fashion that accompanies you – with style, comfort, and responsibility.

Our seamless bamboo styles (Rayaa, Sync, Form) are created on circular knitting machines with fixed cylinder sizes. Each machine covers a size range (XS–XL), ensuring the consistently soft and flexible fit that Les Lunes is known for.

Our clothing is made from natural materials – which is why it deserves especially gentle care. This way, your pieces stay soft, beautiful, and sustainably in shape for a long time.
Do’s – how to properly care for your Les Lunes favorites:
Wash with (eco) gentle detergent on the delicate cycle at max. 30 °C.
Iron inside out and only on the lowest setting.
Dry clothing flat to maintain its shape.
Wash belts by hand and air dry.
Don’ts – please avoid the following:
Do not tumble dry – the fibers can be damaged.
Do not iron hot – the material is sensitive.
Do not wash with harsh detergents – bleaching or chemical additives attack the fabrics.
Good to know: If a belt loses its shape after washing, don’t worry – it will return to its original shape after drying.
Good to know: With the right care, you not only extend the life of your clothing but also protect the environment.
A detailed Care Guide for all fabrics can be found here.
Our pieces are not only stylish but also consciously selected – we place great importance on materials that are comfortable to wear and sustainable.
The main materials:
Bamboo viscose - silky soft, breathable, and naturally stretchy.
Organic cotton - natural, skin-friendly, and durable.
Recycled fabrics - for selected collections, we use recycled fibers to conserve resources.
Good to know: All our materials are free from harmful substances and certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
Our fabrics feel so soft that you’ll hardly want to take them off – and with the right care, they’ll stay that way.
How to keep your clothes soft:
Wash with a mild detergent on the “easy care” program at a maximum of 30 °C.
Avoid fabric softener – our fabrics are naturally soft.
Do not tumble dry; instead, lay flat to air dry.
Do not iron hot; iron inside out on a low setting.
Extra tip: Store your clothes loosely folded in the wardrobe – this keeps the fiber structure relaxed and soft for a long time.
Yes - that's exactly what makes our pieces so special!
Why stretchy?
Our fabrics are soft & stretchy - they comfortably adapt to your body shape.
That means: high wearing comfort, whether in everyday life, during yoga, or at the office.
Thanks to the stretch, the pieces retain their shape and always fit perfectly.
Good to know: Even with elastic fabrics, we recommend you refer to our size chart to find the ideal fit.
Sustainability means for us: producing consciously, creating durable quality, and acting responsibly.
This is what’s in our products:
Natural materials like bamboo viscose and organic cotton.
Small quantities – we avoid overproduction and follow demand.
Certifications – our products are free from harmful substances according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
