A Q&A with our Product Developer & Designer
Q: What feeling or experience did you want to create with this sleepwear?
A: We wanted to create something that feels cooling, soft, and skin-friendly – a natural alternative to classic synthetic satin sleepwear. Our goal was to develop a product that offers a luxurious wearing experience while meeting our commitment to using natural fibers. We explored the possibilities of bamboo to the fullest to offer our customers something that feels indulgent and serves the function of being breathable and gentle – especially in warm weather.
Q: Why was bamboo chosen as the main material for this collection?A: Bamboo has always been at the heart of our work, and we were excited to explore how far we could take it, even achieving a satin look. It is extremely rare to find a bamboo material with this texture on the market. It’s not just about comfort but also durability. This fabric holds color well, is hard-wearing, and simply feels wonderful on the skin. It’s a garment you want to wear around the clock, and it’s also environmentally friendly.
Q: How does this collection fit with the overall Les Lunes brand?
A: This sleepwear collection is more than just nightwear – it embodies our brand DNA: thoughtful, conscious, and beautifully versatile. It is soft, light, and adapts to the seasons. Whether it’s a cami top, dress, or shorts – each piece combines comfort with femininity. It also pairs perfectly with our lingerie line for a cohesive and high-quality overall experience.
Q: Is there a particular design feature you are especially proud of?
A: There isn’t a single detail that stands out – but we are very proud to offer this special bamboo satin fabric in such a clear and flattering silhouette. The cut is simple but designed to look beautiful on every body. We placed great importance on how the fabric drapes, covers, and embraces different body shapes, always aiming to give our customers comfort and confidence.
Q: What makes this collection special?
A: Clearly: the fabric and the colors. Powder pink, black, and a rich brown give the collection a feminine, modern touch. And although it’s meant for sleeping, many customers tell us they also wear the pieces in everyday life – that is the nicest compliment for us. A basic that feels anything but basic.
